Jason Kidd was one of the most popular players in the league when he was arrested for domestic abuse in 2001. Kidd is second on the NBA's career list in assists and steals.     On July 15, 2012, TMZ reported that NBA star and newly added New York Knicks playerJason Kidd was arrested for DWI. The arrest followed a single-car accident where Kidd allegedly crashed his vehicle into a telephone pole near his home in Water Mill. Kidd was treated at a hospital for minor injuries after the crash. He was arraigned on a misdemeanor driving-while-intoxicated charge and released without bail, Southampton Town police said. The DWI charge carries the potential for up to a year in jail.

Dennis Rodman was born in 1961 in Trenton, N.J.
    The retired basketball player has played defense for the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, and Chicago Bulls, and is considered to be one of the greatest rebounders in history, even winning NBA Defensive Player of the Year twice.
    Although he has a respected athletic reputation, Rodman has made headlines for his outlandish behavior such as showcasing brightly dyed hair and donning a wedding dress to promote his autobiography.
    In 1999 Rodman was arrested for assaulting his actress wife, Carmen Electra.  
    The five-time NBA champion was arrested Wednesday night in Los Angeles for allegedly hitting a woman at a Century City hotel. Los Angeles police say Rodman, 46, was arrested after officers answered a report of a domestic dispute.
    Officer Sara Fayden says they learned Rodman had struck a woman, who suffered injuries to her arm.
